        WIDR 89.1 FM KALAMAZOO-
I was the GM of WIDR 89.1 FM in Kalamazoo, Mi and for many years the host of the popular jazz show "Birdland". I played everything from Cannonball Adderley to John Zorn plus "the giants and the not so giants of jazz".
FREEDIRT "THE LOST SESSIONS" or (songs for a prison outing)
This classic was recently unearthed by Peter Benchcraft, the recording engineer for Nickle On the Needle Records. Peter found the master tape last month while cleaning out the company van. As legend has it, in 1978, the recording studio was famously trashed by some of the biggest names in the music industry. The night of the recording is vague and the gag rule is still in effect. The master tapes were lost and forgotten but those who were there still talk about the monkey incident between Jagger, Bowie and Romane. Now the magic has been restored, re-mastered and touched up in post.
Words and Music by Paco Romane.
Paco Romane: Guitar, Bass Guitar, Porta Sound, Organ, Vocals
"Detroit" Lenny Hix on Guitar and Slide Guitar.
