THE LARGE HUNGARIANS
I loved playing in this band. We were a 7 piece ska-funk-folk-pop orchestra and generally played for either beer or a couple of bucks but rarely both. We played all over Michigan and Chicago. My favorite place that we played was "Morseland" on Morse St. in Chicago.

THE SHIVERS - Bad Business Live at Harvey's
The Shivers emerged from the dust of FLAN. FLAN was a Power Trio band that I had with Scott "Skunky" Robbins {AKA Kip Wheeler}, Rob Stimpson on drums {AKA Butch Cummins} and me on bass {AKA Oscar Worthington}. FLAN was well known for playing experimental surf/punk/rock tunes and managed to have a following of loyal fans of music and mexian desserts. After Butch left the band to pursue another career, The Shivers hired the extraordinary Aaron Miller on drums we soon had that surf, pop, punk sound that we were after. Kalamazoo Michigan, in the mid 90's, was a hot spot for experimental bands and Harvey's gave us a stage and audience for our musical adventures.

WIDR 89.1 FM KALAMAZOO-
I was the GM of WIDR 89.1 FM in Kalamazoo, Mi and for many years the host of the popular jazz show "Birdland". I played everything from Cannonball Adderley to John Zorn plus "the giants and the not so giants of jazz".
FREEDIRT "THE LOST SESSIONS" or (songs for a prison outing)
This classic was recently unearthed by Peter Benchcraft, the recording engineer for Nickle On the Needle Records. Peter found the master tape last month while cleaning out the company van. As legend has it, in 1978, the recording studio was famously trashed by some of the biggest names in the music industry. The night of the recording is vague and the gag rule is still in effect. The master tapes were lost and forgotten but those who were there still talk about the monkey incident between Jagger, Bowie and Romane. Now the magic has been restored, re-mastered and touched up in post.
