Class Attack: Comedy Acting

All Experience Levels Welcome!

Each class is open to anyone of any experience level. All ideas and points-of-view are welcome and each class will be a supportive, encouraging, and fun experience.

My Qualifications:
10 yrs as a professional actor specializing in comedy acting. 10 years performing with SF Premier Sketch Comedy group Killing My Lobster, plus many plays, commercials and videos.

In This Workshop We’ll Cover:
We will work with improv games, scripts, monologues, and sketches to get an intro into the art of comedy acting. You learn how to break down a script, cold reads, structure, blocking and raising the stakes. We will work in scenes of multiple actors and even try our hand at a solo scene. If you have written a monologue or stand up and want to “act it out” or you are working on a project you are encouraged to bring them in! You’ll learn the fundamentals of bringing the comedy from the page to an audience.

As always this is a judgement-free environment where you can learn to trust yourself as a performer while having fun and digging into characters, trusting your intuition, finding “the game”, and being an active participant
