BIO:

Paco Romane is a San Francisco–based comedian, actor, writer, and podcaster known for his quick wit, improvisational style, and effortlessly charming stage presence. Armed with what’s been described as an “aggressively good-natured” energy, Paco blends sharp crowd work, personal storytelling, and off-the-cuff riffing into a comedy experience that feels both unpredictable and deeply relatable.

A fixture of the Bay Area comedy scene and beyond, Paco is a passed regular at some of the country’s most respected clubs, including the San Francisco Punch Line, Sacramento Punch Line, Cobb’s Comedy Club, Rooster T. Feathers, and the San Jose Improv. He has appeared on Comedy Central, HBO, NBC, Drunk History, The Eric Andre Show, Nickelodeon, NPR, and Funny or Die, and was a writer for Norm Macdonald Has a Show on Netflix. He’s also a regular at major festivals including SF Sketchfest and Outside Lands, and has shared the stage with comedy heavyweights like Robin Williams, Norm MacDonald, Ali Wong, Nate Bargatze, Maria Bamford, and Hasan Minhaj.

Critics consistently praise Paco’s originality and versatility. The San Francisco Chronicle and Spinning Platters have called him “smart, silly, fast, and funny” and “one of the greatest Bay Area comedians,” while NPR described him as “hilarious and at the top of the comedy scene.” As Robin Williams once said, “Paco is sharp as a knife and quick as lightning with just the right amount of charm.”

Beyond stand-up, Paco is an accomplished actor, commercial performer, and voice-over artist. He has appeared on-camera in national campaigns for IBM and VISA, was a writer for Norm Macdonald Has a Show, and can be seen (very briefly, but proudly) in the Academy Award–winning film Milk. His voice has been heard by millions as the voice of Pandora, with additional work for Roku and Pixar projects.

Offstage, Paco has built a strong digital following of over 60,000 fans across platforms, extending his reach well beyond the stage. He is also the host of the Sup Doc Podcast and a veteran producer behind beloved live shows like The Romane Event and The Charm Offensive, and a longtime contributor to San Francisco’s sketch comedy scene with groups like Killing My Lobster and Duggan and Romane.

Whether headlining clubs across the country, writing for television, or popping up in unexpected corners of film and advertising, Paco Romane brings a uniquely joyful, inventive, and deeply human approach to comedy that keeps audiences coming back for more.
